Picking Up Someone Else's Mess
Challenge:
The Sunshine Review is a political watchdog organization that focuses on transparency and accountability in local and state governments. Carr Systems was asked to enter a modernization project that was migrating Sunshine's website from an inferior CMS to Drupal. Our role was to address several data management and system integration challenges, including a Facebook API. Entering mid-stream, project budgets and deadlines were already set.
Solution:
Carr was able to tackle all assigned tasks quickly, and soon took over responsibility for completing, testing, and launching the site. Our work required updating key Drupal modules, researching several API solutions, and in particular, setting up Facebook integration. The transition from the existing development was amicable, as we were solving difficult problems and helped maintain a positive customer relationship for all involved.
Impact:
Carr delivered time-sensitive solutions on tight deadlines during a stressful project. Our research and problem solving capabilities were as important to the project success as the solution implementation.
