Software Engineer
Carr Systems is seeking hardworking Software Engineers with experience building and maintaining web-based applications. Projects typically involve modernization of outdated legacy systems using Open Source technologies. Candidates must be proficient in current and emerging programming languages, including but not limited to PHP, Java, AJAX, HTML, and .Net, as well as content management systems such as Drupal, Rails, and Joomla. Candidates should also have experience with LAMP and WINS solution stacks. A minimum of two years of experience is required.
Senior Software Engineer
Carr Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer capable of analyzing business problems, architecting solutions, and managing the delivery team. Experience in a wide range of programming languages, development platforms, and content management systems is a necessity. The ability to translate business requirements into technical specs is a must. Database architecture experience is critical. Candidates also must demonstrate strong organizational skills and good communication skills. A minimum of five years of experience is required.
Web Developer
Carr Systems is a growing company looking for a Drupal developer to work in our Northern Virginia or Seattle, Washington markets. The right candidate must be able to turn design and UI mockups into functional websites using current technologies, especially Open Source CMS platforms such as Drupal. Managing and troubleshooting existing client sites is also part of the job. Proficiencies include PHP, Drupal, JavaScript, AJAX; other languages such as .NET is a plus. Proficiency with HTML, CSS, templates and themes required. Familiarity with LAMP solution stacks is important. A minimum of three years building websites is required.
